During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, a total investment of over 13 billion yuan was completed for the backbone of the water network and supporting projects in the county area of Shanxi Province. Significant progress has been made in a number of landmark projects. Construction of major water diversion projects such as the central yellow diversion, Xiaolangdi diversion, Wanjiazhai to the Huangbei branch line, and the Nangan Hutuo River connection has been accelerated; projects such as Taixin's integrated Hutuo River water supply and Yangquan Longhuakou water diversion have achieved their water flow goals. Up to now, the length of provincial backbone water supply pipelines has reached more than 2,300 kilometers, and the water network coverage rate has reached 82%, benefiting more than 28 million people.
